We are looking for a hands-on High Power Electronics Engineer to strengthen our team of researchers and engineers. The role is a key part of developing a novel plasma technology aimed at the production of reactive nitrogen for multiple applications. You will work with a fast-paced test centre with minimal friction between idea and execution and collaborate with an international network of partners in the field of plasma technology. Your work will directly influence a process that dramatically improves the resource efficiency, sustainability, and security in the global food production.
 
Main tasks
You will be responsible for developing a robust and efficient power supply tailored for generating and controlling a unique plasma process. The work process is based on cutting edge academic knowledge, modelling and industrial competence in design-, testing-, verification-, and the industrialisation phases.The challenges are:

  • Fundamentally innovate a novel design and fabrication of the plasma power supply in a unique technology
  • Concept understanding, investigation, planning, testing, and drawing conclusions.
  • Transfer knowledge from industry and universities to N2 Applied and ensure practical applicability.
  • Analyse test data with statistical tools and advanced simulation tools.

Qualifications

You are a highly dedicated and innovative engineer with relevant experience or just graduated, and full of energy with an MSc or similar. You have experience and/or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Power supply development including circuit design, analysis, prototype testing and qualification.
  • High power and high voltage electrical engineering
  • Power electronics development projects (R&D)
  • Electric and magnetic fields with transfer to air plasma
