We are looking for a Research Engineer to join our team of researchers and engineers. The role is a key part of developing a novel plasma technology aimed at the production of reactive nitrogen for multiple applications. You will work alongside a test centre that ensures minimal friction between your ideas and their execution, and you will be included in an international network of partners in the field of plasma technology. Your work will directly influence a process that dramatically improves the resource efficiency, sustainability and security of global food production.
 
Main tasks
You will be part of a team that develops plasma reactors with the ability to energize and contain unique air plasmas. Your contribution will impact all phases of development, from the concept stage, through testing and verification and ultimately industrialization:

  • Plan and conduct tests on novel reactor concepts, analyse test data and draw conclusions.
  • Help increase the knowledge of key concepts in plasma processes and reactor technology.
  • Transfer knowledge from industry and universities to N2 Applied and ensure practical applicability.

Qualifications

You have knowledge of, and preferably experience with one or more of the disciplines below:

  • Reaction mechanics and kinetics.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability and willingness to learn new concepts.
  • Electromagnetism and thermodynamics.
  • High-temperature reactor design and high temperature catalyst features.
  • Plasma physics/chemistry and plasma technology.
