Last week, the British broadcaster featured three stories based on trial results from our\u00a0ongoing pilot project at\u00a0<\/span>Holly Green Farm, an Arla Foods\u2019 Innovation Farm<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in Buckinghamshire, UK.\u00a0These\u00a0stories\u00a0focus on reducing\u00a0ammonia and methane emissions<\/span>\u00a0following the application of Nitrogen Enriched Organic\u00a0fertiliser, or \u201cNEO\u201d\u00a0to fields,\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0ongoing<\/span>\u00a0trials to quantify the applicability of N2\u2019s Unit in eliminating emissions from\u00a0storage and field application of\u00a0livestock slurry<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n NEO is produced on-site\u00a0at Holly Green Farm using an N2 Unit\u00a0<\/span>to process manure<\/span><\/a>\u00a0from the farm\u2019s 500 cow dairy herd. Trials were led and verified by\u00a0<\/span>ADAS<\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u2013 the UK\u2019s largest independent provider of agricultural and environmental consultancy<\/span>\u00a0services, policy advice and research and development.<\/p>\n This\u00a0<\/span>BBC News<\/span><\/a> piece detailed how N2\u2019s plasma technology or \u2018artificial lightning\u2019 generated NEO from the slurry of Holly Green Farm\u2019s cows. Technology reduced slurry\u2019s typical methane emissions by 99% and ammonia\u00a0emissions\u00a0by 90%. Journalist Roger Harrabin was invited to do a \u2018sniff test\u2019, comparing the smell of untreated and plasma-treated slurry (NEO). He found that the treated slurry \u201ctook on a clean and faintly uplifting smell of the seaside\u201d, while the untreated \u201cknocked back my nose in typically pungent fashion\u201d\u2014 results which reinforce the broader impact of N2 Applied\u2019s plasma technology.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> Further discussion and results from the UK trial were explained by N2 Applied\u2019s Chief Agronomist, Dr Nick Humphries<\/a> during a segment on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme, the UK\u2019s most prominent daily news and business show.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> N2\u00a0<\/span>Applied\u2019s\u00a0Director of Business Development (UK)\u00a0<\/span>Chris Puttick<\/span><\/a>\u00a0was also interviewed for BBC World Service radio news, appearing after 19 minutes of\u00a0<\/span>this show<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> — As we continue to undertake pilot projects and trials on farms across several countries, the commercial and environmental potential of\u00a0 N2’s Units are attracting more and more <\/span>attention<\/span><\/a>.
